Whosoever Will - Take up His Cross (Galatians 6:14-18)

Bud SteadmanBud Steadman, June 15, 2017
Part of the 2017 Annual Fellowship series, preached at a FBFI Conference service

Dr. Steadman notes that there are two major “whosoever wills” in the New Testament. The most prominent one is Rev 22.17, the whosoever will of salvation. The other is the whosoever will of service, Mark 8.34. The service the Lord has in mind is the service of discipleship, which follows a process of adjusting one’s relationship to the world.

Galatians 6:14-18

14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. 17From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. 18Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. (KJV)
