Christian people have an innate desire to evangelize, but we fail in evangelism. The reality is that a spiritual war rages within. The story of the Samaritan is not an allegory, but one that points to what is going wrong with our evangelism. The point of the story is love. Love acts. It doesn’t think about personal considerations. The issue isn’t that evangelism is my duty (of course it is!), rather, the issue is what do I think about my duty. Do I love the sinners I know?
