P&D on Boxing Day

In Canada, today is the biggest shopping day of the year. The day is called “Boxing Day,” a holiday in the United Kingdom and many of its former colonial possessions. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, it is “the first week-day after Christmas-day observed as a holiday on which post-men, errand-boys, and servants of various kinds expect to receive a Christmas-box.” (per Wikipedia)

Readership on P&D is typically light during the week between Christmas and New Years, so our plan is to run a few “best-of” posts from our database along with today’s post. Today, we call your attention to a series we ran on Mondays this month, culminating with a post yesterday, “God Made Visible,” by our friend, George Stiekes. The series seemed most in keeping with Christmas and we hope you didn’t miss it. Here are the links to the whole series. May the Lord grant you and  your family a joyous season of celebrating our Lord’s birth and a most fruitful New Year in service to him.
