Is there truth to any of this? Certainly the violence of the present day and historical violence in the name of religion give credence to these claims in the mind of the unbeliever.
All the more reason to follow our Lord’s ethics, live humbly, graciously, with self-control, walking in the Spirit. And all the more reason to simply preach the gospel of salvation from sin, including the sins of hatred and violence spilling all over our headlines around the world.
