Can I Help the Christians of Ukraine?

I asked fellow board member Bud Steadman, the Executive Director of Baptist World Mission how Christians might be able to aide our brethren in the current crisis. Two BWM missionaries are coordinating efforts for relief. The BWM page is here. With permission, I copy the notices from that page below:

Tiko Agamalian Family – Ukraine Aid Project in Eastern Poland

Baptist World Mission missionaries Tiko and Lena Agamalian are working in eastern Poland to provide humanitarian aid throughout Ukraine. They are coordinating and assisting in distribution to a network of churches across Ukraine. Pastors from the Ukrainian Fellowship of Baptist Churches are publishing ongoing needs and current developments in their respective places of ministry. Most of them are actively involved in hosting refugees, providing food, and every possible assistance to those in need. The Agamalians have connections with key people who have helped them establish a logistical framework for the swift transportation and distribution of the most necessary items to these churches.

Bekah Fruin – Ukraine Aid Project Near Warsaw, Poland

Baptist World Mission missionary Rebekah Fruin is working near Warsaw, Poland, to help coordinate efforts to supply Ukraine with humanitarian aid. She is working in conjunction with a contact on the ground in Ukraine, who is then disbursing the food, medical supplies, and other necessities to churches and individuals throughout the country. This contact is intimately acquainted with the pastors who are requesting aid, with government contacts in cities that have been hard-hit by the war, and with individuals who are running refugee camps and other humanitarian organizations. In addition to this primary contact, Rebekah has other Christian individuals to whom she has been able to send aid so they can assist with the refugee camps and food shortages in their areas.

Rebekah is also establishing contacts with refugees who have fled Ukraine. As the Lord opens doors, she looks forward to finding ways to minister to them as well. She is also coordinating with the Slavic Baptist Mission and Operation Renewed Hope.
