Annual Fellowship next week

FBFI Annual Meeting-sidebarA sure sign of summer is the Annual Fellowship meeting of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship International. For those who are close enough to make last minute plans, we’d like to encourage you to join with us at the Good News Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA beginning Tuesday, June 16.

The following men are scheduled to speak in the General Sessions:

Dr. Fred Moritz

Dr. Moritz presently teaches in the Maranatha Baptist Seminary. He served for many years as the Executive Director of Baptist World Mission. His expository preaching, fervent evangelistic spirit and wise counsel are valued by all of us. We especially appreciate his ministry of writing, including Be Ye Holy: The Call to Christian Separation and Contending for the Faith, both published by BJU Press.

Dr. Craig Hartman

Dr. Hartman is the President of Shalom Ministries, Inc., a ministry primarily focused on evangelism of both Jews and Gentiles. His passionate preaching stirs the brethren to renewed commitment and zeal in the work of God. He is the author of Through Jewish Eyes, a book emphasizing parallels between Jewish customs and New Testament truth.

Dr. Jim Bickel

Dr. Bickel is the pastor of Bethel Baptist Fellowship in Brooklyn, New York, a church he planted in 1997 after fourteen years as a church-planting pastor in Connecticut. Bethel Baptist Fellowship has a thriving internship program which led to the planting of another church in Queens, NY in 2008. Still another church plant is in the planning stages.

Dr. Chuck Phelps

Dr. Phelps is pastor of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN. He is known for his strong biblical preaching and has served various ministries throughout his ministry, including a lengthy pastorate in New Hampshire and a term as President of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, now Maranatha Baptist University. He is well known to our fellowship and his preaching is much appreciated.

Dr. John Vaughn

Dr. Vaughn is our board President, having served in that capacity since 2004. He served many years as pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Taylors, SC and is known around the world for his faithful preaching. His leadership and warm fellowship is a blessing to God’s people wherever he goes.

LCDR Tavis J. Long, CHC, USN

LCDR Long is one of our many fine chaplains. He has served with distinction in various postings around the world. He holds a Ph.D. in Religion from Bethany Theological Seminary. His dissertation, entitled The American Concept of Church and State: The Founding Fathers’ Return to a Judeo-Christian Ethic, deals with civil and religious freedom as defined by the First Amendment. He will deliver the message at our closing Leadership Luncheon.
